Peyton had to be put down tonight. He could barely breathe. I am just glad he is no longer suffering.

Miss you little man...

Twenty-Two of Thirty

WARNING! If you have not seen the Twilight movie and don't want to hear my thoughts on it then stop reading.

Twilight = THE WORST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The movie was nothing like I thought it would be. The book is so amazing. Why did the movie have to suck SO BAD! It took everything I have in me not to get up and walk out of the movie! It was the worst $8.50 I have spent in a VERY long time. My sister, whom is a HUGE Twilight fan put it best..."I am going to have to read the book again to erase the memory of the movie". Worst acting, worst make-up, worst special effects, WORST MOVIE EVER. Edward looked more confused than he did mysterious. Everything was so over-dramatized. The back ground music was horrible. If you have read the book and are thinking about going to see the movie, DON'T!!! It will only ruin it for you. My only hope is that they are not dumb enough to make the other three books into movies...but I fear they will!!! PLEASE DON'T!!!

Twenty-One of Thirty

So my poor kitty has feline leukemia. It is not treatable from what we can tell. They are going to try him on steroids for a month or so and see if that helps...I guess sometimes it can but most of the time it does not. He has lost so much weight. It is so hard for us to believe that is what he has because he is not around other cats. It is HIGHLY contagious between cats. Only thing that we can think of is a few years back he got out and got in a REALLY bad fight with another cat. Could be that but who really knows. He is only six years old. He is so young for a cat. We have decided to just keep him as comfortable as possible but are not going to go to heroic measures to save him. As long as he is comfortable we will keep him with us. He doesn't seem to be in pain or anything. The only reason we found out is because my mom noticed how skinny he was getting...he lives with my mom and dad because Eric is allergic to him. I am sad. Peyton is my little man. I am not sure what else to really say. I am so thankful that my folks can take such good care of him for me.

Seventeen of Thirty

Okay so quick post because I want to get back to my book. I can honestly say I have NEVER been so into a book. Is it sad that I just bought tickets to the movie that doesn't even come out until Friday? I can't wait. Must. Finish. Book. Before. Movie. Comes. Out. I don't want anything to ruin it for me. This author is wonderful and I can't wait to get to the next three books.

Nothing really going on with us. My Pampered Chef party is tomorrow night and I am off tomorrow to get ready for that but other than that be have been living a pretty boring life. Just the way I like it!

One HUGE thing. Grayce took her first shower last night by herself! I sat on the toilet and cried a little. My BABY is growing up. She doesn't need me anymore. It broke my heart...and that was just over a silly shower. My goodness I am going to be a mess when it comes to something big...like Kindergarten next year. Why is she growing up so fast! It is not fair!

Sixteen of Thirty

Oh no! I missed a day. Oh well. That darn book was too good to put down last night and honestly after a long day at work my nice warm bed and that book was more appealing than getting up to get the computer. :0) Twilight is really good so far. I am not really far into it yet but what I have read so far is awesome and I can't wait to read more...stupid house work will keep me from doing just that most of today though.

I haven't posted many recent pics of Grayce lately so I thought I would today. Here is one from yesterday that my dad took of her out in the first falling snow of the year.

Adorable!

Twelve of Thirthy

I was a bad mommy today. All we did today on our day off was this...

So much for limiting the time a child plays on the Wii. We played this silly game all day long and had so much fun. Shhhh...Eric even played. LOL!!! Only one and a half more levels and then we will have beat the game.

Tenth of Thirty

Disclaimer: I can in no way shape or form take credit for this crafty idea. I must give credit where credit is due. I stole this idea from Puttin' on the G.R.I.T.S. who Beth posted about a few days ago. When I saw this sign I thought it was adorable and wanted one. I thought to myself that maybe I could do that. After all I have been feeling crafty lately. So here is my version of the sign that Puttin' on the G.R.I.T.S. made.

All total it cost me $5 to make 2 signs. I made one for myself and one for my mom. My sister has requested one though, so back to the craft store I will go.

Ninth of Thirty

Just got back from staying the weekend at my mom and dad's house. They had a Corvette thing down at the National Corvette Museum this weekend so we MaRose-sat. Grayce and I went to Craft 2000 (LOVE that store) on Friday to look for some more stamps (Yes I am hooked and so is she) for cards and it just happened to be that they were having a HUGE stamp sale. They had bins and bins and bins of stamps for $1 each. That is unheard of! They are usually $3.99 at the very cheapest and can go up to $12.99 (at least that is the highest I have ever seen). So we picked up a BUNCH of new stamps. I even got some for future holidays. So Grayce card-ed all weekend. She is really enjoying this also. I have created a monster.
She is spending the night with my mom and dad tonight so it is just Eric and I. Not sure what her deal is lately but since she turned 5 it is like she thinks she is the boss. Not just here but apparently at school as well. Girl really needs to lose the sass big time! She got in trouble at school on Thursday and lost her TV for the night, then has been a bear to handle this weekend as well. Hopefully this will be a short lived attitude problem.
So have you tired the Pringle Cracker Sticks? LOVE THEM! I have only tried the honey-butter and the pizza ones though so far. So far I am LOVING the honey-butter ones. They are to die for. Grayce cracked me up the other day. We were having some for our afternoon snack and she asked me what they were and I told here that they were honey-butter Pringle Sticks. She just started cracking up. I asked her what was so funny and she said "It think it is funny that I HATE butter and I HATE honey, but I LOVE these things". LOL!!! That is my funny girl!

It's Favorite Foto Friday Ya'll!!! Today's theme is Favorite Family Foto. This was very easy since there are very few of us all together. I am always the one taking the pictures so there are not many to chose from. This is kind of a cheat though since it is my "about me" picture and is on my page every day. We are actually going to have family pictures done some time this month so when we get those back I will surely have to post those as well.

Six of Thirty

I am going to steal Beth's post idea for today and post 7 things about Eric...

  1. He has the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen (and our daughter luckily got them too).
  2. He is the Maintenance Supervisor at his plant.
  3. He knows A LOT about cars.
  4. He is very smart when it comes to fixing things.
  5. His favorite color is green (mine too).
  6. He plays so well with kids. People comment all of the time how good he is with kids.
  7. He is the love of my life.

Third of Thirty

Guess what? I actually have something to blog about tonight. So my boss has been telling me for a few weeks about this Elf on the Shelf thing. I had never heard of this before. It is a figurine elf that comes with a book explaining what to do with it. In a nutshell, the elf is sent from Santa to watch over children leading up to the Holiday Season. You have to name him, and every night he flies up north to report to Santa on how you have been that day. Each night he moves from place to place in your house. He may follow you to grandma and grandpas house, or who knows where else he may show up. ;0) Well my boss picked one up for me when he want to Indiana (can't find them around here anywhere) this past weekend. So our elf showed up tonight. Grayce decided to name HER Nia. Here is a picture of her below.

So far Grayce's behavior has been wonderful since Nia showed up. I think this could work to our advantage. ;0) (you can get one on the website that I listed above)

So the other thing that I have to blog about tonight is my new found creativity. I will say that I have NEVER been a very creative person. A lady I work with is however, and has turned me on to scrap booking, and stamping. Well I am REALLY enjoying the stamping. I have decided to make my own Christmas cards this year and started today. Below is one of my creations (if you read my blog and I send you a Christmas card close your eyes if you don't want to see one of the many cards you may receive).

It is hard to tell in this picture but the blob looking thing in the center is a silver snowman. I am pretty proud of myself. I think it turned out well for my first try. My friend Karen would be so proud. She makes her own cards all of the time. I can't wait to send her one of mine this year and see the look on her face when she sees I made my own card. LOL!

Second of Thirty

Well once again not really much to blog about today. Got home from work about 9 or so last night and hung out with Eric for a little bit. Watched SNL (hilarious). Fell asleep.

Eric worked this morning. Came home around 11:00 or so and we laid down and took a nap. Woke up and I cooked a new recipe for Chocolate Cherry Cobbler. Went over to my mom and dads for dinner. My dad grilled some halibut and it was so good. Now we are back home sitting on the couch doing nothing at all. Nice boring Sunday...just the way I like it!

I need to think of some blogging topics or this blogging for 30 days straight thing is never going to work.

Something kind of funny. How would you say the name
Le-a? If you said Leah (lee-ah) you are not alone. Apparently there is a little girl in my grandma's friend's preschool class with that name and the mom went off on my grandma's friend because she was pronouncing it wrong. It is pronounced le-dash-ah. Yes, you say the dash. LOL! Now I know that G-R-A-Y-C-E is not the most popular way of spelling Grace, but at least I didn't put a dash in her name. That has got to be the oddest name I have ever heard of. Although Hallie said that one of her friends who is a teacher had a family of kids named after Jello. Oranjello being one of them. Sometimes I wonder where they come up with some of these names. How about you? What is the strangest kids name you have ever come across. I think
Le-a takes the cake for me.

First of Thirty

Happy November! Today is the first day of National Blog month. Happy Blog Month!

Not much going on around here today. Eric is still at work (from 3PM yesterday afternoon). This working nights thing is for the birds. Thank goodness this is the last day. Grayce and I are going to meet my mom for lunch in a little bit at Max and Erma's (or Hallie's place as G calls it...Hallie works there) and then her and my mom are off to see Hollywood Chihuahua while I head to work. Grayce is spending the night with my mom and dad. Hopefully Eric will come home and sleep this afternoon so that when I get off at 9:00 tonight him and I can hang out for a little bit. I feel like I have not seen him all week.

We didn't do anything big for Halloween. Just went and had dinner with MaRose at the Mel-O-Dee. YUMMY!

That is it for today...already I feel as if this month of blogging could get real boring real quick. What to blog about? Ideas?
